I quite like Pitcher and Piano, but I have to agree with the other reviewer: the bar suffers from an ill-thought through design that creates a bottle neck that leaves customers waiting an inordinate amount of time to get served in busy periods. AS far as Norwich bars go, though, its quite good outside Friday and Saturday night. And the food is ok.

I still know this as Cafe Maximo, as the only apparent change to Pitcher and Piano involved a solitary can of green paint! Surly staff, a rip-off approach to spirits (doubles unless you ask, even if you didn't spot the Lilliputian sign explaining!), and one of the poorest bottleneck designs for a bar I've ever seen. There are many better places very close by.
